Q: Are people performing in physical music venues?
A: No. This is a livestreaming, virtual festival. Venues curate their lineups. Every artist booked will "go live" from their home. No music venues are open that we know of - anywhere in the world. This is why we are doing this. Our mission is to help out the music venues and artists affected so they can stay afloat
Q: What streaming platform are you using?
A: The festival is hosted on StageIt
Q: How much are tickets?
A: Every stage will be 'pay what you want' (minimum of 1 note (10 cents)) and fans can tip during the livestreamed show. Tips show up on the screen in real time inside the chat box.
Q: Do I have to buy a ticket to each show?
A: Yes, this is how the StageIt platform works. But each ticket is a minimum of 10 cents. Remember, every ticket purchase and tip supports the artists and music venues you love along with MusiCares Emergency Financial Assistance fund.
Q: What equipment do I need to perform?
A: A solid wifi connection with at least 4mbps upload speed. A webcam and a decent mic/interface setup.
Q: How do I attend the festival as a fan
A: Click on the Stages page and click through to the stage you want to watch. You will be directed to the Stage on StageIt. If it is your first time using StageIt, you will have to register an account and load at least $5 into your account to get into any of the stages. We recommend using the Chrome browser on your laptop for the best user experience.
Q: I'm an Artist, where do I tell my fans to go to find my set?
A: Tell them to go to uncancelledmusicfestival.com and click on the Stage you're performing on.
Q: How do I get paid as a venue?
A: If you are a music venue, UnCancelled will pay you directly (via PayPal) the money earned for both artists and venue. Venues will be responsible for paying their performing artists (just like a show in your club)
Q: How do I get paid as a performer?
A: You will get paid directly from the curator who booked you. Transparent reports will be included with your payment and on the website
Q: How long does the festival run?
A: It will run on a week to week basis continuing April 2nd.
Q: I’m a brand looking to partner, how do I get in touch?
A: Email: email@example.com
Q: I’m a venue wanting to curate a virtual stage, how do I do this?
A: Apply here.
Q: What venues are allowed to apply?
A: Any music venue in the world.
Q: I’m an artist wanting to play, how can I?
A: Encourage your local music venues to apply to curate a stage and get booked by them.
Q: Is there a way for bands to play live from their respective locations?
A: Not as of now. All performers have to be in one location livestreaming from one laptop.
